Georgia joined the team at Emma Turnbull Lawyers having commenced her defence career in South Australia.
Having completed her Bachelor of Laws and International Studies at the University of Adelaide and prior to joining the Turnbull Lawyers team, Georgia practiced as a criminal solicitor advocate in the South Australian jurisdiction. Georgia is an experienced criminal advocate specialising in bail and contested hearings. Having previously worked with the Aboriginal Legal Service (ALS), Georgia is particularly cognisant of issues facing indigenous clients.
Georgia also specialises in dealing with children and young offenders and appears regularly in the Children’s Court for both summary and indictable matters.
A skilled negotiator, Georgia assists with our intervention order practice, where she has achieved positive settlements for our clients. She has attended IVO mediations through to contested hearings.
Georgia appears daily as an advocate in the Magistrate’s Court for criminal matters, including bail applications, plea hearings, contested and mention hearings, and frequently appears in the County Court as an advocate and assisting counsel.
