Brenda joined Turnbull Lawyers as a legal assistant during her university studies, where she developed a strong understanding of criminal law practice and procedure in Victoria.
Having commenced her studies at the University of Melbourne, Brenda first completed a Bachelor of Arts majoring in criminology and a Graduate Certificate in International Politics. Brenda’s passion for social justice led to her study Law and she subsequently completed her Juris Doctor at La Trobe University. Brenda is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Victoria.
Brenda has undertaken voluntary work at a number of community legal centres and at private law firms specialising in commercial law prior to settling in criminal law.
Brenda is fluent in Vietnamese and can assist clients with English speaking difficulties in the criminal justice system.
Brenda is available to appear in all matters in the Magistrates’ Court including intervention order proceedings, she instructs counsel in County and Supreme Court matters.
