Georgia Kaye-Helmot

Admitted to practice in November 2020, Georgia joined the team as a Solicitor at the beginning of 2021. She completed her Juris Doctor at Monash University Law Chambers. Before studying Law, Georgia completed a Bachelor of Arts Majoring in Criminology and Media Communications at The University of Melbourne. Georgia is admitted in the Supreme Court of Victoria and specialises in criminal defence advocacy.

During her studies Georgia spent time shadowing barristers at the Victorian bar to understand the art of advocacy in the context of criminal law. She volunteered at the Law and Advocacy Centre for Women (LACW) where her interest in Criminal Advocacy developed further. Georgia has a passion for approaching every client with an open mind and understanding of the difficult challenges that come from involvement in the Criminal justice system at any stage. She is skilled with the ability to develop report quickly with clients from all walks of life and is a fierce advocate for her clients.

Georgia appears daily as an advocate in the Magistrate’s Court for criminal matters, including bail applications, plea hearings, contested and mention hearings.
