Kim is a solicitor advocate based at our Ballarat office.
Having completed her Bachelor of Laws at La Trobe University, Kim is admitted in the Supreme Court of Victoria and has pursued a career specialising in criminal defence advocacy.
Prior to commencing her career in law, Kim worked as a member of the prosecutions team in the Office of Corrections, overseeing parolees and community based dispositions. This experience has equipped her with extensive knowledge of community based sentencing dispositions as well as the many socio economic reasons behind criminal behaviour.
In addition to her criminal law advocacy, Kim has appeared on many occasions in the Children’s Court Family Division which has further developed her relationships with external stakeholders and support services within the Ballarat region.
Kim regularly acts as agent for local and metropolitan law firms, appearing on behalf of clients for other firms, who also gain the benefit of her skill advocacy.
Kim has a passion for advocacy and appears in the Magistrates’ Court for all criminal matters on plea hearings, bail applications, mention and contest mention hearings. She also practices in Intervention Order matters for both Applicants and Respondents in the Magistrates’ Court.
Kim is a committee member of the Ballarat and District Law Association.
